As part of my research in positive psychology for the masters programme at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), I have started spending more time with film photography. 📷

It is slow, intentional and mindful. And it allows me to savour the small moments that normally disappear when I’m moving from airport ✈️ to stage 🎤 to hotel 🏨 to taxi 🚕
Research from Psychologist Fred Bryant has shown that slowing down to appreciate ordinary moments strengthens memory and enjoyment.
